Frequently Asked Questions
How Does The Coronavirus Affect My Plans?
Your health and safety is our number one priority. Our operations will not go forward until after we have been given the all clear from the South African government and international travel resumes. For the timebeing we are taking provisional bookings for 2021 on these conditions. Get in touch with us if you’d like to discuss this in more detail.
How long should I Spend WITH you at the Marine protection project?
Due to the majority of our projects being dependent on sea conditions and due to the diversity of our programme we recommend that you spent a minimum of one month with us. If you have less time we offer a two week programme but please be aware of these factors. We want to ensure you get the experience you’re looking for so please include the projects you are particularly interested in when applying.
Can I do my university placement with you?
Yes! Whether it’s for a scientific research placement, work experience or just for credit get in contact with our team today. We are happy to accommodate students and can discuss your requirements to tailor your time with us to your needs.
Do I need to be a scientist to participate in your programmes?
Absolutely not! Our ocean needs people from all walks of life to help in its conservation. At the Marine Protection Project we aspire to work with people from all backgrounds to inspire the next generation of ocean protectors.
How do I GET TO MOSSEL BAY?
