Marine Protection Programme

Love the ocean? Want to learn more? From cage-diving with great white sharks to tagging endemic catsharks, searching for marine life on drone surveys to learning how you can contribute to conservation, our Mossel Bay programme is available year round and has something for everyone.

SEABIRD & Penguin REHABILITATION

Mad about penguins? Want to work with endangered species? Looking to gain hands-on experience in seabird rescue, rehabilitation and release? Then our specialised penguin internship is for you! On completion you’ll receive a seabird rehabiliatation certification, in association with SAPREC.

cape town marine protection Expedition

From October – November we take our research programme west and head to Cape Town for two weeks of pelagic shark diving, kelp forest surveys and community engagement. But first we kickstart the month with two weeks working on our projects in Mossel Bay.

dURBAN marine protection Expedition

In January – March each year our programme is back on the road. After two weeks in Mossel Bay with our main projects, we then head east to top shark diving locations like Protea Banks, Aliwal Shoal and Sodwana Bay – but this is so much more than only sharks.
